KrisCan is competing for her own show on the Oprah network.

She got my vote.

One thing I couldn't help but notice (because my 11-yr old girl does the same thing) - if Kris had her hands tied behind her back she would be speechless.
Is she part Italian I wonder?  Grin

IMHO the PO DOOM message needs a little tweaking.

Having KCan present it is a good start, however Smiley.

I like the idea of how, in the little video segment, she presents it as a great challenge to humanity to innovate and solve a big  problem. That bit is good really. The bum you out first part needs a bit more sugar!

I can remember seeing a documentary about commercials and their  influence on people. They had a test group watching a commercial from a utility and each person had a little box with a knob on it. As they watched the commercial, they would turn it one way if they felt good about what they were seeing. Conversely , if they were bummed by it they would turn it the other way. Later, a computer would correlate the responses to the script and images of the piece. The parts that really bummed people out were edited and or removed. These were terms like pollution.

So that's my take on getting sustainability through the public's thick head. Present it as a challenge that can make things better.

Hmm, I see that Jim got to dance with Kris, but not Duncan?

Could this little schism lead to the unraveling of the KunstlerCast?

Hey, glad to be back!  I have not missed a single KunstlerKast, I just haven't been posting as much here on this forum lately.  Just lurking in the shadows I guess...as the old saying goes, "with two ears and one mouth you should be listening twice as much as you speak"...wait, I guess that saying doesn't work for an internet forum unless I put on my eye patch.

KrisCan is great.

But, let's face it. People don't want to hear about Peak Oil. They want to hear a fluff piece about how someone lost 15 pounds in 3 weeks and how they can follow suit. Can you imagine a PEAK OIL show on the OPRAH NETWORK. If it actually happens, I'll consider getting cable.
